There are many star high school athletes across the nation, but some are not able to continue their athletic careers do to burnt out bodies and/or injuries. Many of these student athletes cannot keep up during their season due to a lack of fundamental strength and their advance speed and agility quickly fades after the first half of a three-month season. High school athletes who perform solely on their inborn talent and effort are much more susceptible to these fates and are at an increased risk of injury. Strength Training in high school athletes will optimize performance up and down the court, field, pool, etc., increase flexibility, and expand movement. IT has even been proven that strength training may be more beneficial for younger athletes than older ones.
